About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the design and engineering strategy for our BESS battery business in India. They will also lead a team of engineers and designers to develop battery energy storage systems that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the design and engineering strategy for the company's BESS battery business in India
  • Lead a team of engineers and designers to develop battery energy storage systems that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the design and engineering of BESS battery systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities and develop new product offerings
  • Develop and manage the engineering budget for the BESS battery business, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the BESS battery systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • 12-15 years of experience in the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems, with a focus on lithium-ion battery technology
  • Experience managing a team of engineers and designers, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team to achieve results
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in the energy storage industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies is a plus
  • Experience working in the Indian market is preferred

Compensation:

The salary for this role is approximately ₹45,00,000 - ₹50,00,000 per annum, depending on experience.
