Software Automation Expert

We are seeking a seasoned software automation expert to join our team as a Software Development Engineer.

  • The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
  • They should have hands-on experience with Java and related testing frameworks, such as TestNG/JUnit.
  • A proven track record of using Appium for mobile test automation, Android and/or iOS, is essential.
  • Solid understanding of performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
  • Experience with REST API testing using Postman or RestAssured is required.
  • Familiarity with build and CI tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, or GitLab CI is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of BDD (Cucumber) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies, bug tracking (JIRA), and test management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

About the Role:

  • This position involves designing and developing scalable and robust test automation frameworks.
  • Writing automated tests for Android and iOS applications using Appium and TestNG/JUnit.
  • Performing end-to-end testing across mobile, web, and API layers.
  • Designing and executing performance tests using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
  • Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in an Agile environment.
  • Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution.
  • Logging detailed bugs, triaging defects, and assisting with root cause analysis.
  • Participating in code reviews and advocating for testability, quality, and best engineering practices.
