Test Automation Engineer

">Job Description:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Amgen Inc. in Hyderabad, India.
  • This role involves designing and developing automated tests using various frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or PyTest.
  • The candidate will collaborate with QA leadership to improve and maintain automation test suites.
  • They will also validate GraphQL APIs, semantic layers, and ensure schema/data contract compliance.
  • Furthermore, the candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.
  • Develop and execute data quality checks, including schema validation, null checks, duplicates, threshold alerts, and data transformation validation.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in QA roles, with at least 2+ years focused on ETL/Data Pipeline Testing in cloud-native environments.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, and optionally PySpark, comfortable writing complex queries, automation scripts, and custom data validation logic.
  • Practical experience with manual validation of data pipelines, including source-to-target testing and business rule verification.
  • Proven ability to support, maintain, and enhance automation test suites and contribute to framework improvements.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, actively participating in QA ceremonies and sprint cycles.
  • Familiarity with data platforms and tools such as Databricks, AWS Glue, Redshift, Athena, or BigQuery.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including test planning, test case design, test data management, and defect lifecycle tracking.
  • Proficiency in tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr for test case and defect management.
