Proposal Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Engineering Manager to fill a key role in our organization.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and submitting proposals to customers, as well as managing the proposal and enquiry process from lead generation to order closure. This involves studying customer enquiries and tender documents, preparing techno-commercial proposals for ESP and Bag Filters, submitting bids for government tenders, attending technical evaluation meetings with clients, conducting site visits to understand customer requirements, preparing detailed costings for proposals, following up with customers on submitted proposals, preparing sketches, BOM, and weight calculations based on customer needs, and creating zero-based costings and submitting proposals on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proposal Creation:
    • Review and analyze customer enquiries and tender documents.
    • Develop and submit techno-commercial proposals for ESP and Bag Filters.
    • Manage the bid process for government tenders.
    • Participate in technical evaluation meetings with clients.
    • Conduct site visits to gather information about customer requirements.
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for proposals.
    • Communicate with customers regarding submitted proposals.
    • Prepare designs, bills of materials, and weight calculations based on customer specifications.
    • Develop zero-based cost estimates and submit proposals on schedule.
  • Order Conversion:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to gather feedback.
    • Handle letters of intent, purchase orders, and contracts.
    • Prepare order acknowledgments and delivery schedules.
    • Analyze reasons for lost orders.
    • Organize internal project kick-off meetings.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Work with the sales team to identify and evaluate new vendors.
    • Research and explore vendor options in various regions.
    • Assess the performance of existing vendors.
  • Internal Support:
    • Support the process engineering team with order-related tasks.
    • Assist the purchasing team with vendor registration and backup processes during execution.
Requirements:
  • 5-12 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
