Linux System Automation Specialist

About this role:
Team is seeking Senior Linux Automation Engineers to lead the design, deployment, and operation of automated patch, vulnerability, and configuration compliance frameworks across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) endpoints.
The ideal candidate will have strong scripting skills, experience with automation tools, and knowledge of integration protocols. They will also be able to collaborate with security and audit teams in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated patch remediation for RHEL 7/8/9 systems.
- Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, YAML) for compliance enforcement.
- Schedule and deploy OS and application patches in a staged and controlled manner.
- Integrate patch management with enterprise dashboards and reporting tools.
- Develop automated remediation playbooks for CVEs and STIG/CIS benchmarks.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux system administration and automation.
- Proven experience in enterprise patch management and compliance frameworks.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in RHEL 7/8/9.
- Strong scripting skills: Bash, Python, YAML.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Red Hat Satellite).
- Familiarity with any Patching tools BigFix, ManageEngine etc.
- Knowledge of integration protocols: SNMP, WinRM, SSH.
