Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Software Architect with expertise in designing scalable backend systems. As part of our team, you will be responsible for creating robust integrations with third-party services and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design & Development: Design and implement scalable microservices architecture using Node.js and Express.js, create event-driven systems with message queues for asynchronous processing, develop authentication and authorization systems (OAuth 2.0, JWT)
  • Integration & APIs: Build robust third-party integrations, webhook handlers, and API gateways, utilize strong knowledge of authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0, JWT), rate limiting, and API versioning
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with frontend teams to design optimal API contracts, mentor junior developers on backend best practices

Requirements

  • Backend Development: 2+ years building production APIs with Node.js and Express.js, expert-level understanding of RESTful design, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems
  • Database & Data Management: Expertise in both NoSQL (MongoDB - aggregation pipelines, indexing, sharding) and SQL databases, experience with caching strategies (Redis), query optimization, and handling high-volume transactions (10,000+ concurrent requests)
  • Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, EventBridge), Docker containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Testing & Code Quality: Strong testing practices with 80%+ code coverage, experience with TDD/BDD methodologies, proficient in Git workflows, code review processes, and maintaining high code quality standards using tools like ESLint and SonarQube
