Semillas Fitó, a leading multinational in the genetic improvement, production, and distribution of seeds, seeks a highly skilled Crop Specialist to join its team in India.

This role is part of the Vegetables business unit and requires a strong understanding of market trends, crop development, and product positioning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Informing Breeders and Global Crop Coordinators about new market trends and product positioning.
  • Designing and implementing the crop product portfolio strategy, providing guidance to the sales team.
  • Designing the Trial Plan, including the selection of reference areas, trial locations, and participating farmers.
  • Supervising the trial plan implementation, ensuring adherence to protocols and crop evaluation procedures.
  • Visiting main trials across India, compiling relevant information, and producing final reports for the Coordination Committee.
  • Coordinating with Global Crop Coordinators and Sales Coordinators to promote new varieties and products.
  • Supervising C2 trials in different stations, placing sample seed orders, and ensuring a continuous flow of information.

To be considered, you should have 5-7 years of experience in similar positions, a willingness to travel, and experience in polyhouse and/or open-field settings.
