Job Description:

  • As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes on Databricks.
  • You will lead the architecture and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
  • Collaboration with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts is crucial to gather requirements and deliver actionable data solutions.
  • Optimizing data workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability is a top priority.
  • You will integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources into Delta Lake and cloud data warehouses.
  • Implementing best practices in data governance, security, and quality management is essential.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership in data engineering best practices is also required.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in data pipelines, ensuring high data availability and integrity, is a critical task.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • Proven expertise in Databricks (including Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, and MLflow).
  • Strong experience with PySpark, Spark SQL, and Scala programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, but AWS/GCP are also acceptable.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Solid understanding of big data ecosystems, including Hadoop and Kafka.
  • Strong SQL development skills with a focus on performance tuning.
  • Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines for data solutions is highly desirable.
