Financial Accounting Specialist

SAP FI S/4HANA is a leading finance and accounting system used by organizations to manage their financial transactions. As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, building, and configuring finance applications using SAP FI S/4HANA.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong expertise in SAP FI S/4HANA and deep knowledge of Indian GST and tax reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, configuring, and stabilizing finance applications, as well as providing technical and functional guidance across projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Design and Configuration: Act as the primary point of contact for application design, configuration, and delivery for SAP FI S/4HANA finance and tax solutions.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients and business stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve GST- and tax-related queries.
  • Tax Configuration: Configure and maintain GST settings within SAP (including TDS, e-Invoicing, tax determination, and tax reporting).
  • GST Returns and Compliance: Configure, test, and validate GST returns and document compliance reporting to ensure statutory compliance.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Implement and manage third-party integrations related to tax reporting and invoicing.
  • Tax Localization: Support tax localization requirements and collaborate with the Cluster Tax team for deployments and rollouts.
  • Review and Validation: Review build demos, validate test results against design specifications, and ensure traceability to business requirements.
  • Organizational Change Management: Support organizational change activities: prepare documentation, train country users, and ensure role-based responsibilities are understood and executed.
  • Cutover Planning and Execution: Lead cutover planning, execution, and hypercare support during go-live phases.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the SME for SAP tax reporting and tax determination, providing guidance across projects and teams.
  • Technical and Functional Decision-Making: Make technical and functional decisions for the team and contribute to cross-team decisions.
  • Code and Configuration Reviews: Conduct regular code/configuration reviews and ensure adherence to coding/configuration standards and SAP best practices.
  • Mentorship and Training: Mentor and train team members; stay current with SAP S/4HANA Finance updates and recommended patterns.
