Job Title: AWS Administrator

As a seasoned professional, you will have the opportunity to lead and guide the implementation and adoption of DevOps practices and principles across development and operations teams on the AWS platform. This role requires strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure management, including experience with CloudFormation for infrastructure as code, containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), and CI/CD pipeline development.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS DevOps methodologies and best practices, as well as strong proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash. Additionally, they should have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration on AWS (EKS preferred).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation
  • Architecting and managing containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using relevant AWS services and other industry-standard tools
  • Implementing and managing infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS services
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments
  • Collaborating closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide guidance on best practices for cloud-native application development and deployment

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in AWS DevOps methodologies and best practices
  • Strong proficiency in CloudFormation for infrastructure as code
  • Intermediate to advanced level scripting skills in either Python or Bash
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration on AWS (EKS preferred)
  • Proven experience in setting up and managing services in the AWS public cloud using infrastructure as code principles
  • Solid experience in troubleshooting web applications, including diagnosing low-level issues related to systems, networks, and databases
