Job DescriptionFinancial Controller:
Management
Lead the accounting operations of the company, ensuring the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and implementation of controls and budgets to mitigate risks and enhance the accuracy of financial results. The Financial Controller will guide the company's document library in compliance with US and Indian law.

The position will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, hands-on, passionate, result-driven, and highly consultative in nature. The individual will report to the CEO and work closely with all Senior Stakeholders to drive projects and establish strategic plans across Indevia.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead controllership operations, including reporting, taxation, treasury, compliance, risk management, and audit forecasting.
• Streamline processes and the Finance Department, maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage outsourced functions, such as Chartered Secretary services, to ensure legal compliance and work with tax experts to file accurate tax returns to Indian tax authorities.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements, document retention policy, and tax filings, including GST and Income tax.
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of clients in coordination with Sales and Operations.
• Conduct periodic reviews with department/function heads and drive corrective action where required to ensure profitability.
• Analyze the profitability of various segments of the company's business and advise the management team on how to improve profitability.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations. To publish and present financial and operating metrics.
• Lead and coordinate various audits, including statutory, internal, and tax audits.
• Proactively provide analysis and strategic insight to senior management.
• Continually seek to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of financial and accounting processes and controls.

RequirementsLeadership:
Be a Financial Advisor to the CEO, building and maintaining a departmental structure, operating standards, and practices that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs.
Develop and implement a talent plan to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time to meet the organization's strategic needs.
Manage employee performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring timely feedback, and promptly addressing performance problems and issues.
Manage direct reports to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and develop their assigned staff.

Team Management:
Manage team functions and utilizations, including workforce planning, facilitating recruitment, selection, induction, performance appraisal, training, etc., in line with overall business goals.
Share knowledge, mentor, train, and educate the organization's staff regarding the company's vision, opportunities, and challenges.
Be an integral, collaborative member of the Executive team, driving strategic decisions with financial expertise and unwavering support for Organizational success.
Ensure company operation hurdles are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Requirements:
Masters or a bachelor's degree in commerce with 10 years of experience or in a related field.
Candidates who have completed the qualifications to be a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India may apply.
Leader with a service mindset who takes pride in growing the people they lead.
Deep understanding of how to use accounting to create value for the client.
Passion for using the best tools available to transform the business. (Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho Books, QuickBooks is highly preferable).
Experience with process management techniques like Six Sigma, TQM is highly desirable.
Entrepreneurial spirit who is excited by the prospect of rapid growth.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals to higher levels of performance.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Able to interact with US clients and prospects via phone, email, and in person.
Keep up to date with industry standards and technology changes to help build robust systems and provide ideas for integration.
Process-driven with a strong Project Management and Product Owner Mindset.
