Our Global Service Private Limited:
MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) was established in 2020 as a 100% subsidiary of MUFG with offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India serves as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence, providing support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. We plan to significantly ramp up our growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFG's global network across Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
About the Role:
Job Title: Global Reconciliation Specialist
Reporting to: AVP - Reconciliation
Location: Bangalore, India
Job Summary:
The Global Reconciliation Specialist will be responsible for managing various types of cash reconciliations. This role ensures ownership is identified for breaks and reports each break to the relevant owner, escalating issues/breaks via pre-agreed criteria and matrix.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing day-to-day reconciliation activities as per standards, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of assigned production duties.
- Ensures team adherence to all cut-off times and quality of processing as maintained in SLAs.
- Responds to queries related to routine activities within the specified time frame.
- Escalates feed-related issues and system issues to the appropriate support team in a timely manner.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Identifies the cause of cash breaks and assigns them to the correct team for further investigation and resolution.
- Escalates all issues promptly to avoid adverse impact on business operations.
- Contributes to local operations processes and workflows to deliver best practices, efficiency, and mitigate risk.
- Prepares various MIS reports to ensure proper control over operations.
- Supports in managing the risk profile for the department.
- Collaborates information to respond to auditors and regulators in a timely manner.
- Supports in developing and updating policies to ensure alignment with relevant regulations.
- Supports internal and external audits within the department by collating/preparing documentation as required.
- Adheres to all company policies and guidelines.
- Provides necessary data inputs for committees and meetings regarding department operations.
Candidate Profile:
- Has strong knowledge of reconciliation, Swifts, payments, and accounting principles.
- Must be a self-starter with significant ability to undertake initiatives.
- Diligent and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders and address issues.
- Understanding of system/operational processes and willingness to learn the process.
- Graduate degree obtained.
- Desirable to have at least 4-7 years of relevant experience.
