As a Sr. SQL Server Database Administrator at Aveva, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's database systems, including backups, performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure SQL Server, including drivers and third-party replication tools.
  • Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high levels of performance, data integrity, availability, scalability, sustainability, and security.
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, refining and automating regular processes, tracking issues, and documenting changes.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems, performing scheduled maintenance, patching, and support release deployment activities.
  • Risk mitigation and disaster recovery management.

  • Business stakeholders and data owners.
  • Data management services team.
  • Data governance, analytics governance, MDM, Power Platform, and Azure Data Factory teams.
  • Digital delivery team.
  • Enterprise architecture team.
  • IT security team.
  • IT project management.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in database administration, management, and design.
  • Strong proactive work ethic, anticipating business needs and adapting quickly to achieve success.
  • Open-minded and an out-of-the-box thinker, striving for excellence and overcoming challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
