Senior Trust Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the management of trust portfolios in line with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of trusts and corporate entities, ensuring all legal documents required for managing day-to-day matters are produced.
  • Conduct regular reviews of each entity in the portfolio through effective liaison with clients, trustees, intermediaries, and legal counsel.
  • Be responsible for the quality of client files, ensuring all legal, regulatory, and trust matters for the portfolio under management are addressed.
  • Provide expert legal research and analysis for structuring different variations of trusts and commercial entities, offering pragmatic solutions and legal advice.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and intermediaries, ensuring stakeholders are serviced well.
  • Ensure adherence to our 4-Pillar approach, including compliance, legal, and corporate services, transaction monitoring, and tax and transparency.
  • Achieve financial chargeability targets, handle pricing, invoicing, and resolve payment issues and collection of invoice and outstanding fees.
  • Anticipate and manage the impact of emerging regulatory, taxation, or legal changes and ensure compliance-related risks are addressed.
  • Support the local management team, client acceptance committee, and compliance in finding commercial solutions for onboarding and ongoing client administration/service.
  • Ensure 'Know Your Customer' rules are adhered to and that clients operate within the framework.

Candidate Profile:

  • Relevant bachelor degree and other relevant professional trust-related qualifications.
  • STEP qualification in trust and tax would be highly advantageous.
  • At least 10 years of experience working with trust/estate law, ideally with a business in a similar industry.
  • Strong commercial mindset, takes initiative, positive and proactive, dedicated, focused, and revenue- and target-driven.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with well-developed spoken and written communication skills and the ability to tailor style to relevant audiences.
  • Excellent English language fluency; additional languages preferred.
