Accounts Payable Specialist

This role will involve managing accounts payable for a portfolio of properties, requiring attention to detail and efficient processing of high volumes of transactions.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of U.S.-based accounting principles to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably with U.S.-based accounting exposure.

The selected candidate will be responsible for process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments accurately and in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices and vendor payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support month-end close, accruals, and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with property managers and vendors for invoice coding and approvals.
  • Prepare payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations.
  • Track payment schedules and monitor cash flow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably with U.S.-based accounting exposure.
  • Experience in the real estate sector is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to AP.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under deadlines.
