Job Title: Backend Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and highly scalable back-end services.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Backend Engineer to contribute to the development of our back-end systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain high-quality code.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement backend systems using programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to align on feature development and overall service goals.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to postmortems and system hardening.
  • Maintain a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of experience building back-end systems, preferably in fintech or financial platforms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and their practical applications.
  • Experience with designing or maintaining transactional systems that adhere to ACID properties.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working with Agile Development principles, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and their practical applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Bonus Points:
  • Knowledge of unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD) concepts.
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and microservices-style service development.
