Key responsibilities include:

- Technical Excellence: Ensure the technical feasibility and integrity of projects through sound architecture, code reviews, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver on product roadmaps and business goals.
- Innovation: Drive technical innovation and excellence in engineering processes.
- Recruitment: Lead recruitment efforts to attract top engineering talent, conducting interviews and making hiring decisions.
- Performance Management: Establish KPIs and metrics to measure engineering performance and productivity.
Required skills include:
- Proven experience of 12 years in a leadership role within engineering, with a track record of successfully leading and managing high-performing teams.
- Experience working in multiple back-end technology frameworks in multiple languages, with practical knowledge of languages such as Java, REST, Python, Angular, NodeJS, VueJS, and cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP).
- Strong understanding of system design for highly performant systems, with experience with service architecture, horizontal scalability, and managing large data sets.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders.
