Informatica Developer Job Description

As a skilled Informatica developer, you will be responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of ETL processes across various business applications. This includes SAP, Salesforce, Magic, Medea, FAME, and other legacy systems.

  1. Develop and enhance Informatica mappings, workflows, and sessions to ensure data quality and efficiency.
  2. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse sources such as flat files, Oracle DB, Salesforce, SAP, and others.
  3. Execute file validation scripts, encryption/decryption, file creation, and secure transfers to guarantee data integrity.
  4. Support month-end activities by ensuring timely data loads and reconciliations.
  5. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL job failures, system performance, and process bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inflight projects such as new company code inclusion in CMS, UAT upgrades, WC mapping discussions.
  7. Provide operational support for daily feeds including DDF, CDS, FAME, and others across multiple geographies.
  8. Participate in Informatica upgrade projects, service restarts, and automation initiatives to improve overall system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

You must have:

  1. A minimum of 3–7 years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter / IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services).
  2. Strong expertise in ETL design, development, and performance tuning.
  3. Familiarity with integrating with SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, and file-based systems.
  4. Experience handling large-scale data (300GB DB, 350–400 files daily, 300+ interfaces).
  5. Strong troubleshooting skills for job failures, connection issues, and performance bottlenecks.
