Medical Coders play a vital role in healthcare by ensuring accurate and compliant coding practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coding professionals must assign correct diagnosis and procedure codes from medical records, adhering to official guidelines such as AAPC or AHIMA.
  • They work on various specialties like E/M, Surgery, Radiology, IPDRG, ED, or Anesthesia based on project requirements.
  • Review denied claims and update codes according to payer feedback when necessary.
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy benchmarks daily/weekly and collaborate with QA and billing teams for any discrepancies or queries.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants should hold a graduate degree preferably in Life Sciences, Paramedical, or Allied Health.
  • Freshers must have valid certification in AAPC or AHIMA, while 1–3 years of experience in outpatient, inpatient, or specialty coding is preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong grasp of anatomy and physiology along with medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
  • Proficiency in tools like 3M, Optum Encoder, TruCode, or EHRs like Epic/Cerner is advantageous.
