Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in the capacity of financial management and strategic planning. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records for Australian companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions, utilizing industry-standard software such as Xero, MYOB, and NetSuite.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries, providing actionable insights for informed business decisions.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, optimizing cash flow and minimizing financial risk.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, including Xero, MYOB, and NetSuite, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CA).
