About this Role:

The Core Maintenance Planning Lead is responsible for managing routine maintenance planning activities within our organization. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient execution of maintenance tasks and supporting the overall operational strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance work to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide expert support on planning, estimating, and scheduling for project work.
  • Develop high-quality work packages that align with industry standards.
  • Drive accountability for using standard planning tools and best practices.
  • Lead the growth and development of planners and schedulers.
  • Create accurate execution work plans and updates on scope status and forecast.
  • Collaborate with site representatives to determine work scope for maintenance teams.
  • Work closely with Operations to integrate schedules into the operating plan.
  • Partner with Asset Maintenance Teams to feed planned work into the asset plan and prepare work for the field.
  • Develop tools to enhance cost and execution forecasting accuracy and report on status at individual project and portfolio levels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning and scheduling accuracy and remove inefficiencies from planning activities.
  • Integrate Chevron executed scope into a master project schedule with Construction Services.
  • Clearly communicate scope progress to stakeholders and team members.
  • Support Routine/Planned Maintenance process competency growth within our organization.
  • Ensure Lessons Learned reviews are completed for each FEL event and drive subsequent improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively manage backlogs.
  • Responsible for developing and improving maintenance resource forecasting for the 5-year Work Plan and Budget.
  • Participate in hiring and organizational design as needed.
  • Support succession planning discussions with leadership teams for our maintenance and turnaround organization.
