Financial Planning Professional

  • This is a key role within the organization responsible for developing and executing financial accounting, planning, and analysis systems to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

">
  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely actual financial statements and reports.
  2. Forecasting: Prepare accurate and timely forecasts, budget, and latest estimates.
  3. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor financial audits and regulatory compliance.
  6. Data Analysis: Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. Analyze data collected and record results for improvements.
  7. Cost Analysis: Analyze changes in product design, materials procurement, and handling, manufacturing methods, processes, or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
  8. New Product Cost Estimates: Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
  9. Manufacturing Costs: Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  10. Cost Information Recording: Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures and actively participate & guide in the plant in Cost Reduction/Cost Out initiatives and efforts towards Cost Avoidance. Close coordination required with SCM, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality for cost movement tracking, Routing accuracy and deployment, cost of non-conformance, and Renegotiation, Resourcing, and VA/VE/VSM.
  11. Price and Profitability Analysis: Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services with actionable recommendations.
  12. Inventories: Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count programs and reconcile variances in inventories.
  13. Inventory Management: Evaluate excess and obsolete inventory and action plan to reduce it.
  14. Import and Export Compliance: Ensure import and export compliances including licenses and export benefit schemes.

Requirements

  • A strong financial accounting background with excellent analytical skills and a sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Computer literacy – strong Excel skills, and the ability to use Outlook and Word. Working knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage. Exposure to the latest presentation tools like Power BI is preferred.
  • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
  • The ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 solid years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a multinational company.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Professional certification such as Chartered accountant / Cost accountant is preferred (Qualified / Semi Qualified).
