Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new features and enhancements for core platforms and services.

  • Drive technical improvements and suggest platform upgrades while championing engineering best practices.
  • Investigate, debug, and resolve production issues to deliver robust solutions that improve performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Help maintain the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems as we evolve our platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Python: Strong hands-on experience with core Python and its standard libraries.
  • Web Frameworks: Experience developing backend APIs and services using FastAPI/Flask.
  • Message Queues: Proficiency in implementing message queues and task distribution.
  • Docker & Containerization: Experience containerizing applications and managing services.
  • Webscraping: Demonstrated expertise with webscraping tools and techniques.
  • Browser Automation: Practical experience with Playwright and Selenium.
  • Database Management: Proficient in SQL and ORM-based data access using PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.
  • NoSQL Data Access: Experience with PyMongo and MongoDB.
  • Caching and Messaging: Practical use for caching and lightweight messaging using Redis.
  • Cloud Computing: Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Secrets Manager, and Auto Scaling Groups.
  • Operating Systems: Comfort with command-line operations and scripting on Linux/Unix.
  • Version Control: Proficient in Git and team collaboration.
  • Concurrency: Experience with multithreading and asynchronous programming in Python.
  • API Integrations: Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs, including authentication, data handling, and rate limiting.
  • GenAI/LLMs: Good exposure to GenAI/LLMs (OpenAI, HuggingFace, etc.) and prompt engineering.
