Job Overview:

The position of Indirect Taxation Manager is a critical role within an organization. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring indirect tax statutory compliances, effectively handling litigations, and providing indirect tax advisory services.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in indirect tax with thorough knowledge of laws and procedures relating to GST/ Customs. Candidates with experience in manufacturing/service organizations, preferably in the Chemicals/Pharma industry, are preferred.

The successful candidate will possess strong orientation towards digitization, be tech savvy, and have good MS office skills. They will also demonstrate effective communication skills, a drive for results, and a problem-solving attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely filing of GST returns and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Effectively handle litigations by drafting show cause notice replies and preparation and submission of Appeals
  • Provide indirect tax advisory services, transaction advisory, and vetting
  • Advise on changes in indirect tax laws to business and management in a timely manner
  • Guide indirect tax personnel on changes in GST laws and regulations
  • Perform and coordinate indirect tax audits, inspections, and support in completion of old VAT assessments
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualification: CA / ICWA / Bachelor of Law (National Law College)
  • Experience/Industry: Min. of 8-10 years of experience in indirect tax with thorough knowledge of laws and procedures relating to GST/ Customs
