  • Develop course materials, practicals, and lab exercises
  • Supervise undergraduate, master's, and PhD student research projects
  • Participate in curriculum development and academic planning

Research Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in microbiology
  • Publish regularly in peer-reviewed national and international journals
  • Apply for and manage external and internal research grants
  • Collaborate with national and international institutions on joint research initiatives

Service and Administration:

  • Serve on academic and administrative committees at department and university level
  • Participate in student advising, mentoring, and academic assessments
  • Support departmental initiatives, outreach activities, and quality assurance processes
  • Mentor junior faculty and contribute to faculty development

Qualifications:

  • Education: MBBS, MD, PhD in Microbiology or a closely related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of teaching and research experience at the university level, with evidence of increasing responsibility
  • Publications: Strong record of publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals
  • Research Grants: Experience in securing research funding is desirable
  • Certifications: If applicable, medical microbiology specialization or certification for medical colleges
