About This Role

As a Data Engineering Specialist, you will design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems to process and analyze massive datasets. You will work with distributed data processing and storage technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP/Azure.

This role requires expertise in developing efficient ETL pipelines using tools like Apache Beam, Airflow, or Databricks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions into business workflows.

To succeed in this position, you must stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement large-scale data systems for processing and analyzing massive datasets.
  • Develop expertise in distributed data processing and storage using technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and cloud platforms.
  • Create efficient ETL pipelines leveraging tools such as Apache Beam, Airflow, or Databricks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of data engineering solutions into business workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in Python (including popular libraries like Pandas, NumPy) and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Experience with cloud-based development (AWS, GCP, Azure) and knowledge of DevOps practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure Databricks, Terraform, and GitHub Actions for pipeline orchestration.
  • Certifications in Databricks, Azure, AWS, and GCP are highly preferred.
