API Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled API Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our QA department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure the quality and performance of our API services.

This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, and Maintain Automated Test Scripts: Create and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using Python.
  • Set Up and Enhance Automation Frameworks: Set up and enhance automation frameworks such as PyTest and Robot Framework to ensure efficient testing.
  • Develop Comprehensive Test Plans: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for API functionalities.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand API requirements and functionality.
  • Identify and Document Defects: Identify, document, and track defects and issues through resolution.
  • Perform Functional Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on APIs.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience in QA Automation: Proven experience in QA automation with a focus on Python for API testing.
  • Strong Understanding of QA Methodologies: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes for API testing.
  • Experience with Automation Frameworks: Experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins or AzureDevOps.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Basics of Payments Gateway: Basics of payments gateway such as UPI Switch Transition, Biller Management System, Mandate Unification System, and Wallet Aggregation.
