Responsibilities:

As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Procurement function for India. This includes:

  • Validating user requirements and managing the end-to-end process of floating RFQs, RFPs, and tenders.
  • Identifying and developing suppliers based on specific requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
  • Leading vendor negotiations to secure optimal procurement deals.
  • Conducting cost comparisons, preparing detailed reports, and establishing target pricing.
  • Providing informed purchase recommendations to drive cost-effective decisions.
  • Negotiating contract terms with vendors on a case-by-case basis, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization.
  • Collaborating with legal teams and users to ensure contract compliance and alignment with organizational policies.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with the organization's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Delegation of Authority (DOA) for all purchase orders and procurement decisions.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act (CLRA) and other relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Total of 10 years' experience in procurement within data centers, telecommunications, construction, or other related industries.
  • Hands-on procurement experience in the data center industry, with a focus on MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) equipment purchases.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Strong decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Cross-functional experience with relevant procurement background.
