Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fashion Designer to lead our kidswear category design function. This role is responsible for creating original apparel designs, developing seasonal collections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Create original apparel designs for kidswear across categories such as ethnic, casual, western, and innerwear.
  • Develop seasonal collections and fashion capsules aligned with current trends and pricing strategies.
  • Utilize tools like Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW to prepare fashion sketches, tech packs, and print developments.
  • Conduct research on market trends, colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and customer behavior in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
  • Create collections as per the seasonal option plan and pricing matrix in coordination with the merchandising team.
  • Maintain a balanced mix of core and fashion-forward styles suited for value-conscious customers.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior designers and product coordinators.
  • Work with sourcing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure timely execution of designs from concept to shelf.

Qualifications: ">

  • Degree or Diploma in Fashion/Apparel Design from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in value retail or large-scale production setups.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, MS Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, fit, cost-effective design, and garment manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, team leadership, and time management skills.
