Database Professional:

The role of a Database Administrator plays a vital part in our organization's success, delivering technology and services that simplify lives of clients and colleagues. As a skilled Database Administrator, you will work with senior developers to design, test, plan, protect, and implement databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage database performance, locking, process blocking, and tuning
  • Create and maintain high availability and disaster-recovery-friendly architecture
  • Optimize, test, and verify backup and restoration processes
  • Develop monitoring and metrics tooling for granular insight into database performance
  • Manage infrastructure to prevent potential issues and mitigate future incidents
  • Support ticket handling and backing up peers
  • Deploy new database objects and changes to existing objects
  • Design complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers
  • Develop relational database reports using SSRS

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced understanding of relational database architecture/infrastructure (MSSQL)
  • Knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, support tooling
  • T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and DB functions knowledge
  • MSSQL optimization, HA/DR expertise
  • Systems development lifecycles, application integration, and relational database design knowledge
  • Experience with Always on High Availability Groups (optional)
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and break-down complex problems
  • Choose tasks relative to workload and implement best-practices
  • Clearly communicate ideas and suggestions
  • Participate, review, and offer constructive criticism
  • Cloud database storage technologies experience
  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (minimum)
