Track Alignment Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled specialist to assist in the preparation of preliminary design for track alignment projects, focusing on delivering high-quality rail infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design horizontal and vertical track centre line alignment by applying industry standards and best practices.
  • Prepare points and crossings based on concept of operation, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Implement standard working procedures to ensure work execution as per Statement of Design (SOD), maintaining compliance and efficiency.
  • Analyze as-built components with tolerance to precede construction, suggesting suitable solutions to avoid infringement during mass construction.
  • Plan and coordinate day-to-day activities involved in rail track design and infrastructure development, leveraging expertise to drive project success.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of various design methodologies in elevated sections, driving innovation and precision.
  • Utilize rail design software for swept path analysis, regression analysis, and drainage, streamlining processes and improving outcomes.
  • Prepare and review design calculations for cant, cant deficiency, cant excess, speed, rate of change of cant, and transition, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform quality checks and assurance for deliverables, review meetings, and issue resolutions, upholding the highest standards.
  • Conduct site visits for interface and monitoring purposes to ensure construction activity and site condition, fostering collaboration and communication.

Qualifications

  • A graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution, providing a strong foundation in rail engineering principles.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, with 5 years in relevant experience in track alignment of metro projects, offering valuable insight and expertise.
