Job Title: Environment and Health Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Environment and Health Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring site safety, maintaining environmental compliance, and conducting regular risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain site safety protocols, PPE usage, and regulatory standards during solar panel installation and maintenance.
  • Ensure environmental compliance by adhering to laws regarding waste disposal, emissions, and water usage on solar sites.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Organize daily pre-job briefings, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills for fire, electrical hazards, and medical emergencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Valid certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, Fire Safety, First Aid.
  • 4-7 years of experience in solar, construction, or energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective Action Plans).
