About the Role

This is an opportunity to work with a leading company in the field of data engineering. We are seeking a talented professional to support, develop and maintain our data and analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and automating the deployment of our distributed system for ingesting and transforming data from various types of sources. They will also implement methods to continuously monitor and troubleshoot data quality and data integrity issues.

In addition, the role will involve implementing data governance processes and methods for managing metadata, access, retention to data for internal and external users. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing reliable, efficient, scalable and quality data pipelines with monitoring and alert mechanisms that combine a variety of sources using ETL/ELT tools or scripting languages.

Technical Skills Required

  • Experience with Big Data open source technologies, including Spark, Scala/Java, Map-Reduce, Hive, Hbase, and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with SQL query language and cluster compute cloud-based implementation experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development and building analytical solutions.

Additional Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of ETL framework and technologies. They should be proficient in Databricks, Pyspark, Python, Snowflake, and SQL. Good communication skills are essential for this role.
