Nutanix is seeking a seasoned Linux developer to join our OS/Kernel Development team. As an integral part of this group, you will be responsible for leading architectural discussions and driving solutions that meet multiple requirements.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Linux developer with a strong understanding of the Linux user and kernel spaces. The ideal candidate will have 8 or more years of experience in this field and be able to contribute to the team's objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, install, and monitor infrastructure on Linux systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to build automation methods and deployment procedures.
  • Treat every platform challenge as your own and resolve it effectively.

About Our Team

The OS/Kernel Development team is responsible for updating the Linux distro to include newer RPMs, replacement packages for obsolete packages, or to newer distro versions. We also migrate the Linux distro to different vendors, bringing upstream Linux LTS kernels into our OS.

Requirements

  • Experience and good working knowledge of the Linux user and kernel spaces with 8 or more years of experience in this field.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment to deliver Linux user space and kernel solutions that meet multiple requirements.
  • At least a BS in Computer Science (not Computer Engineering), MS preferred.
