Data Engineering Specialist

This is a hands-on engineering role for building and maintaining large-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering skills, a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, and expertise in cloud ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Built scalable and maintainable data platforms in production environments using Python, data structures, and system design principles.
  • Developed clean, efficient, and well-structured code to solve complex problems in large-scale data processing environments.
Technical Requirements:
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of end-to-end data platform architecture from ingestion to transformation to consumption.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services relevant to data engineering, including Amazon EMR, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Redshift, and Athena.
  • Proficiency in building event-driven systems using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Amazon SQS/SNS, and EventBridge.
  • Familiarity with designing and working within microservices-based architectures.

This role requires deep technical involvement in building, deploying, and maintaining the data platform. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
