Job Summary

The Senior Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and releasing front-end and back-end applications across multiple streams. This role requires experience with agile software development, utilizing appropriate agile methodologies and lean practices. The Senior Full Stack Developer will build reliable, scalable solutions with a focus on value to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications, microservices, and APIs tailored to meet business needs.
Utilize best practices to ensure systems are built for reliability and performance.
Participate in code reviews with peers to provide constructive feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards and compliance obligations.
Conduct thorough software testing using both automated and manual methods.
Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and other technical challenges to enhance software quality.
Implement robust logging and monitoring solutions to ensure system health.
Facilitate troubleshooting and provide insights into application performance through effective monitoring tools.
Analyze business requirements to understand customer needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to problem-solve and deliver the right solutions for customers.
Maintain and improve documentation across codebases, system architectures, and knowledge bases.
Ensure that all technical documentation is clear, up-to-date, and easily accessible to the team.
Take the initiative to identify areas for improvement in code quality, system architecture, and development processes.
Proactively address technical debt, enhance standards, and streamline workflows to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and business analysts, to align development efforts with business objectives.
Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Requirements

Experience building and maintaining software applications (10+ years).
Experience with Drupal (5+ years).
Experience with Typescript, React, and NodeJS.
Experience in software testing from unit, integration, and E2E tests.
Desired experience with DevOps tooling & practices, Github Actions, AWS CloudFront, Lambda, and API Gateways, AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, observability tools such as Splunk and New Relic, large-scale websites / e-commerce, and the travel industry.
Skills and capabilities include being personally motivated, results-driven, and proactive, well-organized and able to multitask while maintaining focus, basic understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle, well-developed verbal communication skills, good quality documentation skills, both technical and non-technical, attention to detail and effective organization and time management skills.
