We are seeking an experienced Process Design Engineer to support the development of innovative flow chemistry and batch processes for our pharmaceutical clients. This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled engineer to grow within a globally distributed team and contribute to the design of cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in process design engineering, including experience with simulation software and a strong understanding of process safety principles. A bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering is required, along with 5-7 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize flow chemistry and batch processes for scale-up and commercial manufacturing.
  • Perform process design calculations (heat & mass balance, reaction kinetics, equipment sizing, pressure drop, mixing, and scale-up parameters).
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as: Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Support process safety assessments (HAZOP, risk analysis, safety studies).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust process design.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5–7 years of proven experience in process design engineering within the pharmaceutical/chemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of process design tools and calculations (heat/mass transfer, reaction engineering, hydraulics).
  • Experience in preparing and interpreting BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs.
  • Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
