Job Role: Data Modeler Specialist

Years of Experience: 8 - 11 years

  • Support the delivery of complex business transformation programs within data portfolios.
  • Collaborate with agile cross-functional teams to create world-class products that meet customer needs.
  • Elicit and analyze business change, functional, and non-functional requirements across stakeholders, working with IT teams to interface those requirements and deliver a reconciliation solution.
  • Develop and maintain analysis and modeling artefacts for development teams to develop working products.
  • Understand user journeys end-to-end, beyond system boundaries.
  • Provide advanced business knowledge and technical support for requirements development.
  • Create/enhance logical and physical data models adhering to agreed standards, meeting business and technical requirements.
  • Undertake metadata analysis, including naming logical entities, attributes, physical tables, columns, definitions, and data types.

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Strong data analysis and/or modeling experience (4-8 years).
  • Familiarity with financial domain and data analysis skills covering requirement gathering, elicitation, gap analysis, data analysis, effort estimation, reviews, and translating high-level functional data or business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology as an individual contributor.
  • A team player with self-starter approach, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building relationships.
  • Liaison between business and technical teams to bridge gaps and assist project delivery.
  • Familiarity with SQL, MS-Office tools, GCP Big Query, Erwin, and Visual Paradigm is preferred.
  • Comprehensive data modeling understanding (conceptual, logical, physical), creating high-quality data models, and maintaining accurate metadata.
