Job Description:

The role of Embedded Software Engineer is crucial in developing and implementing software solutions for automotive telematics systems. As part of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing embedded software that meets the high standards of the automotive industry.

About the Role:

This position requires a strong understanding of Linux and C/C++ programming languages, as well as experience with embedded systems development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to research and develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) for automotive grade products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient embedded software applications
  • Work on multithreading environments and thread synchronization techniques
  • Implement Inter Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms like sockets, message queues, and shared memory
  • Develop reusable and scalable code using C, C++, and STL containers and algorithms
  • Collaborate with teams across geographies to deliver projects on time
  • Participate in agile development methodologies and contribute to project planning and execution

Requirements:

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical, Communications, or Computer Engineering
  • 3-5 years of overall experience in software development
  • Strong understanding of Linux IPC mechanisms, TCP/IP, and CAN
  • Hands-on experience with memory partitioning for Flash based storage devices
  • Knowledge of Open Embedded, Bitbake, and package management is a plus
