Research Professor Opportunity

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Research Professor to lead and coordinate advanced research projects in Computer Science Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive high-impact research projects, mentoring research scholars and contributing to the university's mission of research excellence.Publish original research in top-tier international journals and present at premier conferences.Mentor PhD scholars and research students, guiding their research work and development.Secure external research funding through grants, consultancy and collaboration with industry partners.Facilitate interdisciplinary research and foster collaborations within the department and university.Organize workshops, seminars and conferences to promote research culture.Provide expert advice on research policy, strategy and development within the department and university.Contribute to academic leadership and participate in research-focused committees and initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • PhD in Computer Science Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in research, teaching or industry.
  • Demonstrated excellence in research through publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale research projects and secure funding.
  • Experience in supervising doctoral research scholars.
  • Strong expertise in key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Strong network with academic and industry research organizations.
  • Experience in patenting, technology transfer or entrepreneurship is a plus.
  • Commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive research environment.
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary and international research teams.
