Technical Project Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple applied research projects at our institute. The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical role interfacing between research/engineering teams and customer-facing teams.

  • Manage project scope, timelines, and quality of research output.
  • Collaborate with Faculty, Engineering, and management teams across different organizations.
  • Represent PIs and scientists in project discussions, summarize, document, and manage the project.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to actively engage with them.
  • Interface with external organizations through reports, meetings, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management - Lead and coordinate multiple applied research projects.
  2. Collaboration - Work closely with multiple stakeholders across different organizations.
  3. Communication - Represent PIs and scientists in project discussions, summarize, document, and manage the project.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement - Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Reporting - Interface with external organizations through reports, meetings, and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in a technical role interfacing between research/engineering teams and customer-facing teams.
  • Basic familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts, and applications.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage/understand cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distil complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
