We're looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in API testing and quality assurance. As an Advanced API Quality Assurance Specialist, you will design and execute effective test plans, collaborate with development teams, and ensure that our APIs meet the highest quality standards before release.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for API testing, ensuring thorough coverage and accurate results.
- Identify, record, and track bugs in a test management tool, providing clear and concise reports to the development team.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand API functionalities, requirements, and best practices.
- Perform regression testing and ensure that APIs meet quality standards before release, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases and test scripts, to facilitate efficient testing and troubleshooting.
- Analyze test results, provide feedback to the development team, and contribute to process improvements.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices for API development and testing, and help shape the company's testing strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience in API testing and quality assurance, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Proficient in using API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter, with expertise in automation testing tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services, with knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing test scripts.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines, with experience in writing clear and concise documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
