Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our on-premise private cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and operating systems for servers, storage, and hypervisors.
  • Plan and deliver racking, stacking, and cabling of hardware in our datacenter.
  • Collaborate with our Smart-Hands support team to perform datacenter maintenance activities.
  • Install, configure, and manage server operating systems, including Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Maintain console access to all servers and storage through iLO and serial ports.
  • Perform regular health checks of hardware and OS, resources, and processes.
  • Apply OS patches and maintain OS versions across our on-prem environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, OS, and applications.
  • Prepare MOPs for installation procedures and configuration changes, and RCA for issues.
  • Monitor storage capacity and perform preventive audits.
  • Troubleshoot, repair server hardware issues, and follow supplier RMA processes.
  • Manage performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
  • Deploy and manage ESXi VMs using vCenter and vSphere.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Linux design and administration, including DNS Bind, PowerDNS, Recursor, Forwarders, LDAP, Windows AD, and NTP.
  • Extensive understanding of Linux, including RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Oracle Linux.
  • Experience with Perl, Python, or Shell scripting.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnosis of HP servers using iLO and serial console ports.
  • Basic troubleshooting and diagnosis of network equipment.
  • Linux server administration activities, including installation, LVM creation, file system management, user management, and performance monitoring.
  • Expertise in server and storage hardware, including HPE, Dell, and Oracle systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Linux server administration, ESXi, and VMware suite.
  • Linux and VMware certification preferred.
