Senior Loan Decision Expert

As a key member of our team, the Loan Decision Specialist will be responsible for underwriting and decisioning non-QM loans to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Non-QM guidelines as well as experience with QM (Conventional) UW Guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical skill set and be able to perform complex loan transactions. They must also be able to maintain client SLA expectations by achieving individual Underwriter quality benchmarks and production goals. Additionally, they should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Analyzing borrower documentation and financial statements to render a decision.
- Reviewing appraisal reports and collateral offered in the loan application.
- Documenting and communicating reasons for approval or denial of loans.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting requirements.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Graduation from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years mortgage underwriting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
