Job Description

As an Electrical Construction Engineer at Overture Rede Private Limited, you will be responsible for anchoring erection and commissioning of machines and equipment, ensuring the completion of projects in minimum turnaround time while effectively utilizing resources to maximize output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Group guidelines and LFIs for safe project execution.
  • Carry out trouble-shooting and support for major and critical failures/issues occurring at site.
  • Maintain electrical testing tools and tackles.
  • Participate in turnaround and shutdown activities.
  • Support Technical Due Diligence for major activities, minor projects, plant expansions, and modifications.
  • Follow and enforce applicable HSEF procedures/practices and RIL Group Safety Standards.
  • Site Visit with initiator and other discipline representatives to understand the scope of the proposal.
  • Finalize material requirements for the proposal and preliminary cable length estimation and associated costs based on existing drawings.
  • Identify suitable codes with respect to specifications and requirements in various plants and extensions of the same to the desired plant.
  • Identify services based on the scope of the job after detailed engineering.
  • Coordinate with Projects Engineering, Procurement, Central Facilities, Vendor, and Construction team for smooth and timely project execution.
  • Prepare BOQ, Technical Particulars, and Specification Sheets.
  • Document work, including ITP, as-built drawings, contractors' bills, validation, and reconciliation of free-issue materials.
  • Pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Work planning for project completion within the timeframe.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming electrical materials before installation.
  • Review contractor inspection plans and QA/QC documents.
  • Supervise fabrication and erection works performed by contractors, ensuring compliance with established construction drawings, schedules, quality, and project requirements.
  • Prepare inspection reports and liaise with client site representatives.
  • Prepare BOQ and BOM as per drawings for supply of equipment and materials.
  • Maintain documentation and correspondence with clients and contractors.
  • Review factory acceptance test reports and manufacturers' QC documents.
  • Maintain functional links with other unit heads in the project.
  • Monitor construction progress and prepare catch-up plans for timely project completion.
  • Review test results, as-built drawings, final documents, and project records before handing over to the client.

Requirements:

  • Adaptability.
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) reliability tools.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with effective prioritization and analytical thinking.
  • Managing ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of SAP PM/MM modules.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
  • Teamwork.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 3-6 years of experience as an Electrical Construction Engineer or Project Planning Engineer in the oil and gas, manufacturing, polyester polymer, petrochemical refinery industry.
