We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud-based solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement secure cloud infrastructure and architecture using AWS services such as VPC, EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, and AWS CLI.
- Collaborate with cloud architects and developers to create security solutions for cloud environments, ensuring compliance standards are met.
- Monitor cloud environments for suspicious activities and threats using SIEM systems and maintain audit logs for regulatory requirements.
- Automate cloud security processes using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) for secure deployment and configuration.
- Build custom Terraform modules to provision cloud infrastructure and maintain them for enhancements with the latest versions.
- Collaborate with DevOps, network, and software development teams to promote secure cloud practices and educate employees on cloud security best practices.
- Secure and encrypt data by providing secret management solutions with versioning enabled and building backup solutions for running applications' downtime.
- Maintain a parallel disaster recovery environment in the backend and implement Disaster Recovery strategies.
- Work with data-based application migration teams to strategically and securely move data from On-premises data centers to the cloud storage within an isolated environment.
- Work with source code management pipelines and debug issues caused by failed IT development deployments.
- Remediate findings from cybersecurity tools used for Cloud-Native Application Security and implement resource/cloud services tagging strategies by enforcing compliance standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
