Senior Data Science Leader Position

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our data science initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and computer science, with at least 8 years of experience in data science or analytics, including 2-3 years of people management experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for owning all data science systems and models, collaborating with senior leaders to define data science initiatives, driving platformization and system architecture decisions, and ensuring model scalability and performance.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned data science leader to drive innovation and growth within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and deploying machine learning models in production at scale, as well as managing teams of data scientists/engineers and delivering cross-functional charters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of data science strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to define data science initiatives and prioritize projects
  • Owning all data science systems and models, ensuring scalability and performance
  • Drive platformization and system architecture decisions to support data science initiatives

Requirements:

  • Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Science or Analytics, with at least 2-3 years of people management experience
  • Proven track record of building and deploying ML models in production at scale
  • Experience managing teams of 4+ data scientists/engineers and delivering across cross-functional charters

  • Strong understanding of ML system performance trade-offs: latency, cost, and throughput
