Python Language Model Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Python Language Model Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality Python code to train and optimize large language models (LLMs).

You will conduct thorough evaluations to benchmark model performance, analyze results for continuous improvement, and provide comprehensive explanations.

Evaluate and rank AI model responses across diverse domains, ensuring alignment with predefined criteria. Lead efforts in Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT), creating and maintaining high-quality task-specific datasets.

Collaborate with researchers and annotators on Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) and refine reward models.

Develop innovative evaluation strategies and processes to improve model alignment with user needs and ethical guidelines.

Improve AI performance by creating optimal responses that emphasize clarity, relevance, and technical accuracy.

Perform peer reviews of code and documentation, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.

Cross-functional collaboration is essential for this role, as you will work closely with other teams to enhance model performance and contribute to product enhancements.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of strong experience with Python programming concepts.
  • Industry experience and knowledge of code quality, formatting, and best practices in software development.
  • Experience with Python's testing ecosystem, including unit, integration, and property-based testing.
  • Knowledge of multi-threading and asynchronous programming in Python.
  • Ability to work with architectural patterns and refactor code without introducing regressions.
  • Strong debugging skills, including fixing memory and concurrency issues.
  • Excellent written and conversational English communication skills.
