Job Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned logistics expert to lead our team in delivering standardized solutions for Novartis' supply chain logistics.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities in labeling, gather requirements, and work with customer teams to develop business cases and ensure sponsorship
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and business partners for demand analysis, solution proposal, evaluation, and funding estimates
  • Collaborate with logistics leads, business process owners, and other key stakeholders on IT solutions in scope of SC Logistics - Labeling area
  • Ensure timely, within-budget, compliant, secure, and quality delivery of portfolio for responsible function service area, Labeling
  • Implement labeling solutions by providing technical expertise, architectural knowledge, and coding skills
  • Establish governance structure for projects and operations with the right stakeholder representation
  • Report to DDIT Director Operations SC Logistics, partnering with peers, global business process owners, and other SC key stakeholders on IT solutions in scope of SC Logistics
  • Oversee and manage end-to-end Logistics application support services to operations
  • Enable Business requirements and objectives in area of Supply Chain Logistics through global IT standard solutions
  • Manage risks related to DDIT Services underpinning business processes
  • Ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery and Operations scope
  • Leverage technology solutions and automation tools to enhance logistics processes in labeling, supply chain, and manufacturing, driving continuous improvement
  • Align DDIT investments and services for customer group with business requirements and DDIT strategy

Requirements:

  • University degree in business, computer science, or information technology discipline
  • At least 10 years of experience in information technology with 3-5 labeling project implementations
  • Expert understanding of technology and methodologies as applied in the respective area
  • Architectural expertise in Teklynx, Seagull Scientific, Codesoft, Sentinel, and BarTender Enterprise Automation
  • Experience with GS1 barcoding and integration with SAP, MES, and warehouse systems, other labeling solutions in the market
  • Strong coding skills, preferably AutoIT
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain processes mainly in the Logistics area, Distribution and Warehouse
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, senior management, manage issues, resolve conflicts, and mitigate risks
  • Analytical, process-oriented with a keen interest to drive continuous improvements
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain trust and confidence
  • Experience in leading projects, managing diverse group of stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of English language, written and spoken
  • Flexibility to work in fast-paced, quickly changing work environment
  • Ability to operate in global matrix environment
