Job Title: Android Architect

We are seeking an experienced Android Architect to lead and guide the development of scalable, high-performance Android applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and Design: Lead the design and development of Android applications from inception to deployment.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to a team of Android developers.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, UI/UX designers, Backend Engineers, and QA teams.
  • Stay Current with Technology: Stay up to date with the latest Android technologies, frameworks, tools, and trends.
  • Mentoring & Team Building: Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Testing & Automation: Develop automated tests to ensure application reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce best practices for security and privacy in Android applications.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in Android development, with 3+ years in an architecture or technical leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Android SDK, Kotlin, and Java.
  • Deep understanding of Android frameworks, architecture components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room), and Android Jetpack.
  • Experience with MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and integrating mobile apps with backend services.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and integrating mobile applications with cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles for Android and ability to collaborate with designers.
  • Experience with multithreading and asynchronous programming.
  • Knowledge of build tools (Gradle, Maven) and version control (Git).
  • Proficiency in testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Enterprise Mobility Solutions or large-scale enterprise apps.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Fastlane, or similar.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for mobile application development (encryption, secure coding).
  • Contributions to open-source Android libraries or frameworks.
